Devastating Floods Hit Bangladesh

Devastating floods take a toll on Bangladesh as 200 people have died in the past week and these statistics are changing everyday. Thirty-eight Bangladeshi districts have been affected by the flood waters. Many people have been displaced from their homes and are out of adequate supplies such as food and clean water. Local roads and highways have virtually turned into rivers. Children take their usual routes home from school knee deep in water. Boats are needed to navigate through local bazaars.

MAAWS is actively working in the field giving dry food and clean water. Government relief is too little to cope with this devastating situation. The people of Bangladesh need adequate supplies, food, clean water, oral saline to prevent diarrhea, shelter, etc. Your generosity will go a long way.
