MAAWS was honored with the 2015 Human Rights Peace Award on June 14, 2015 by the United Movement Human Rights, a human rights organization in Bangladesh. The award and ceremony were part of a seminar on the topic of “Duties and Responsibilities of Public Representative to Establish Human Rights” at the Central Public Library in Shahbag, Dhaka.
Presiding the honor were Muhammad Attaullah Khan, Advisor of United Movement Human Rights, Justice Md. Joynal Abdin, Appellate Division of Bangladesh Supreme Court and Pirzada Shahidul Harun, Secretary of Ministry of Finance, Bangladesh.
